Rockstar Beach South Nias

In the early morning, from second floor of his guest house, a man looks at blue waves that continuously comes and hit the beach, white froth crawling in the coral reef then. A cup of hot coffee stands still on a wooden table, half empty. A book still in his hand before left the wood porch for entering his room. The wave is getting higher and higher then. Its roar calls the man back. In a surfing suits, the man walk down through a wooden stairs, a large short blue and white surf board, about seven to twelve inches on his right hand, he walks through along sharp coral as the beach, to challenge Rock Star waves; the battle arena for extreme surfing lover.

Rock Star is a beach in Hilisataro Village, Toma subdistrict, South Nias District. It is about 14,1 km from Teluk Dalam, capital city of South Nias. Visitors can reach this beach, both by car or motorcycle; it takes half an hour road trip. There is guest house that can be rent. It is in front of the beach if you prefer to stay in this village. Visitors can also access this beach from Sorake Bay through land route. From Sorake, it is about 27,6 km; 48 minutes by car.

Rockstar is a coral reef surfing spot, beside the village main road. The wave breaks in both directions; left and right. This coral-reef surfing spot is ranked as one of the highest, most refined in Nias Island. This place is absolutely for those who love coral surfing, because the landscape is not as beautiful as other places in South Nias.
